Possible names for magazine
Need it, Want it, GOT IT!
This was from my first magazine I designed; my friend was the one who originally came up with this as its here saying for buying anything new. I really liked how it sounded but also the way it can be shortened to ‘GOT IT’. Although I don’t think it works as well on a music video as it would on a fashion magazine.
~ LOUD ~
I decided against this one as I think it’s too original and boring. It works really well for a music magazine and people would know what its contents would be like but I think I could do better.
TEMPO
I tried thinking of words that linked to music I thought of tempo as it’s usually the one that everyone knows.
PRESTO
Presto means very fast tempo, I thought this may work as tempo can be either slow or fast so I looked for a word that meant fast tempo this one came up and I think it’s nice but can be quite boring and sounds a little childish.
UPDATED
Updated would be for people to update themselves with the newest music and news on bands and artists, I quite liker the way this one sounds but could also be taken as a fashion magazine.
MINE
By using the title ‘MINE’ it would be too aggressive to be mixed up with a fashion magazine and would be catchy and easy to remember compared to ‘UPDATED’. I think I will use this one for my magazine as I like the way it sounds and would stand out form the rest.
What my magazine will be like
My magazine will be mainly targeted at girls but will also have articles and topics that will hopefully interest boys as well. It will be aimed at people aged 16 – 21. it will go against the ‘norms’ of magazines as it will be slightly bigger and also square as it will also be a 12 month calendar as well as a magazine it will show people what gigs, concerts and festivals are coming up, when the tickets come on sale and extras such as a shopping list for festival must haves and discount codes for tickets and merchandise. It will be mostly picture led and will have rock artists and bands in it.
